It is now clear what the background was to the alarm search on Sunday evening in the Linz area. A man and a woman were interrupted by police during a drug deal. The man threatened a bystander with a weapon and fled in his car.
On Sunday around 5:13 p.m., a police patrol was sent to a parking lot in Asten because, according to a witness, a car with the engine running had been parked there for a long time. The police found two people, a 25-year-old with no fixed address and a 27-year-old Italian. A check of the documents revealed that the 27-year-old’s passport was a total fake.
Woman wanted to escape
After the woman repeatedly became embroiled in contradictions during the official act, she suddenly jumped into the car and tried to escape. She drove over the parking lot barrier and parked the car in the ditch.
The 25-year-old was dragged from the car by the police officers and offered massive resistance, resulting in two police officers being slightly injured. But that wasn’t the end of the matter. The 27-year-old drove to a gas station on the B1, threatened a 30-year-old North Macedonian from the Linz-Land district with a gun, stole his car and initially fled in an unknown direction. An initiated search was unsuccessful.
Narcotic found
During the search of the car, narcotics were found and seized. The 25-year-old was taken to Steyr prison by order of the Steyr Public Prosecutor’s Office.
