58 buildings stormed! – Major German attack on dangerous Islamists

Date:

Hundreds of German police officers took action against various Islamist associations during a nationwide raid on Thursday morning. In addition, 58 buildings (mosques, cultural centers, offices) were stormed. Evidence must be collected to investigate bans on associations, and assets must be confiscated.

According to the newspaper ‘Bild’, the attack took place almost simultaneously in several states: hundreds of officers stormed 58 buildings across Germany, including the Blue Mosque in Hamburg, whose sponsoring association, the ‘Islamic Center Hamburg’ (IZH), was founded. considered an outpost of the Iranian mullah regime. The Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) confirmed the measures.

Forbidden activities?
“The IZH is suspected of being contrary to the constitutional order and against the idea of international understanding,” said a BMI statement published Thursday morning. Security authorities also investigated suspicions that the IZH supported the activities of the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah, which are banned in Germany.

Club ban possible
During the access, investigators want to secure evidence and seize assets. Ultimately, the BMI could ban the IZH from a club. In addition to the IZH in Hamburg, officials also searched the rooms of other clubs in Berlin, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Lower Saxony and Bavaria.

Minister of the Interior: “We generally do not tolerate Islamist propaganda”
German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) said the Islamist scene was “in her sights”. “Especially now, at a time when many Jews feel particularly threatened, the following applies: we generally do not tolerate Islamic propaganda or anti-Semitic and anti-Israel incitement. Especially now it is important to be very vigilant and take strong action. That is why we vigorously investigate every reasonable suspicion.”

The suspicions against the IZH are serious, according to Faeser. She pointed out that the association has long been under the supervision of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and has been classified as Islamist. Further constitutional measures must be well prepared. “That is why today’s extensive search measures in seven states are necessary,” said Faeser.

The Interior Ministry further said that the IZH’s activities were “aimed at spreading the revolutionary concept of the Supreme (Iranian) leaders.” This concept is suspected of “violating the constitutional order in Germany and the idea of international understanding.”
