“Today a blank pistol was seized from a toilet in the Graz town hall. The police forensic department is currently investigating,” the city of Graz wrote in a recent press release. It is still completely unclear where the weapon came from and who left it there.
“These events and the increased terror alert level across Austria mean that there are currently increased security and identity checks when entering the town hall,” the city of Graz also announced. But there is reassurance: “Party traffic is still going ahead and today’s city council meeting will start as scheduled at 12 noon.”
