Alarm on Sunday evening for the Metnitz and Glödnitz fire brigades (Carinthia): A traffic accident occurred on the Flattnitz.
“During the trip we received information that the location was in Styria and that a vehicle was lying on its roof in the stream,” reports the FF Metnitz. Black ice had formed on the Flattnitzer Strasse in the Paalbach area near the border with Styria – independently of each other, two cars fell victim to this.
“A car had stopped on its roof in the stream. “Fortunately the second car got stuck in a group of trees,” the fire brigade said.
Emergency services were just investigating the situation when another car arrived. The driver also lost control on the slippery road and crashed into a parked police car. Thanks to the low speed, the damage was limited.
