Animal Cruelty Trial – Executed dog “Ares” is simply thrown into the inn

Where do you place the Pitbull-Bulldog hybrid “Ares”? A Tyrolean woman (27) was extremely overwhelmed when raising the dog, which weighed about 40 kilograms. In August the situation escalated and the daughter (9) was already suffering from anxiety. The suspect (28) wanted to help, but within a few hours there was no animal shelter or other shelter to be found.

“I promised him a quick solution for the next day,” said the founder of the association “Dogs in Need” as a witness. But in the morning hours, the suspect explained on the phone: “I had the dog slaughtered.” The question of where the vet went remained unanswered. With bad forebodings, the animal rights activists started a search – and found the dead “Ares” after eight hours at the Inn power plant in Kirchbichl.

The dog attacked him, so he strangled him with a collar, the 28-year-old explained. Hours later, he drove an iron bar into the skull of the carcass ‘just to be sure’. One report spoke against this self-defense option, stating that a bolt pistol may have been used due to the smooth edges of the wound. It was definitely animal abuse: a partial fine of 7,000 euros, not legally binding.

The owner, who allegedly forcibly pulled the nasty ‘Ares’ by the choke collar, was also charged. An outraged friend who was visiting saw this on the balcony. This incident could hardly be qualified as a failed ‘educational measure’, so she was acquitted.
