Unions have called 24-hour strikes to protest the transfer of commuter trains from Catalonia to the Generalitat. In addition, more strikes will take place on November 30 and December 1, 4 and 5.
Workers from Renfe and Adif face this Friday the first of five days of strikes planned in November and December, in protest against the transfer of the management of Rodalies – Catalonia’s commuter train services – to the Generalitat, agreed between PSOE and ERC.
The first day of strikes will be followed by four more days of 24-hour strikes on November 30 and December 1, 4 and 5, in the middle of the December long weekend.
Likewise, the unions have also expressed their concerns about the transfer of these powers from Rodalies to the Ministry of Transport and asked the ministry to guarantee the rights of Renfe workers, which currently manages the service.
