A mother (30) and her seven-month-old baby had a breakdown on Monday morning in Zell am Ziller (Schwaz district). They were hit by a car at a zebra crossing, but escaped relatively unscathed.
The 30-year-old Croatian pushed the stroller with her seven-month-old son in it along Rohrerstrasse in the municipality of Zell am Ziller around 10:30 am on Monday. At that moment, a 30-year-old local man drove his car down the street. The exact cause of the accident is not known, but police say the driver hit the woman at the zebra crossing.
The 30-year-old fell and the stroller fell on its side. Luckily the boy was tied up so he didn’t fall out.
Mother and child taken to hospital
Nevertheless, the baby was injured, as was the child’s mother. After initial care, the rescue took them both to the hospital in Innsbruck. From that moment on it was clear: according to the police, both of them probably only suffered bruises.
