Also vaccination certificates – driving school employee forged on a large scale

Date:

Fraud alert in a driving school in Leobner: A 39-year-old is said to have falsified and passed on numerous Covid test and vaccination certificates and driver’s license certificates. As a result, your customers have unlawfully received a license or additional information in their driver’s license. Police officers from Leoben have cleared up a total of 48 crimes!

At the beginning of September 2021, an anonymous tip reached the police in Leoben: EiA driving school employee is said to brag about falsifying Covid test and vaccination certificates.

Months of investigations and countless interrogations confirmed the suspicion against the 39-year-old from the neighborhood. In collaboration with the Leoben public prosecutor’s office, police officers secured the woman’s company PC, and IT experts from the National Criminal Investigation Department secured digital evidence during the evaluation.

From Covid evidence to driver’s license – 48 crimes elucidated
The woman is accused of falsifying antigen and antibody tests, digital vaccination certificates and vaccine stickers for the vaccination card in at least 15 cases. She made this with a graphics program on the company’s PC. She used the fakes herself, as well as close relatives.

The woman and other (partly unknown) employees of the driving school would be attributed a dozen forged driving school confirmations for allegedly passed driving tests or additional authorizations. They made these for relatives and acquaintances to enable them – successfully – to apply for additional authorizations from the driver’s license authority. The practical training provided for this and a settlement via the driving school has not taken place.

customer base manipulated
A payment of approximately 400 euros was also omitted from the partner of the suspect. The 39-year-old manipulated the customer file and deleted the amount due for a completed driver’s license inspection (BE trailer) from the accounts.

“just favors granted”
The 39-year-old denied any intention to enrich herself when questioned. She just wanted to please people. The Leobnerin is reported to the public prosecutor on suspicion of all criminal offenses. All other parties involved are also reported for the use of forged certificates and documents.
