Day 91 in Russia’s war against Ukraine: Here are the most important developments of the day.
The most important things in a nutshell:
- According to information from Kiev, about 20,000 suspected war crimes have been reported so far in the three months of war.
- In the course of the war in Ukraine, Russian oligarchs lost access to luxury yachts, real estate and other assets worth nearly 10 billion euros.
-
According to US military experts, the Russian army is concentrating troops from various directions in the heavily disputed Luhansk region. The reserves needed for an offensive are therefore drawn from other front sections.
- Alexander Schallenberg spoke out in favor of Ukraine’s “gradual EU integration”. EU countries could consult and participate with representatives of Ukraine before the start of regular meetings, the foreign minister said.
- Chancellor Karl Nehammer promised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that 100 injured civilians would be treated in Austrian hospitals.
The Russian military offensive in Ukraine is the culmination of a conflict that has been raging for years. A chronology of the events can be found here.
