148 million fine – Rudy Giuliani is not only financially ruined

Date:

After a sensational defamation verdict, Rudy Giuliani is all but ruined. The prospects for the former colorful mayor of New York and Trump’s lawyer are not only bleak from a financial perspective.

Rudy Giuliani had made it: the son of a convicted robber and mafia criminal, he rose from law school to become a federal prosecutor and eventually the respected mayor of his hometown of New York.

Brutal crash
In this role he managed to control the escalating crime. He was even a Republican presidential candidate – albeit unsuccessful – and during his term in office became an advisor and personal lawyer to US President Donald Trump.

Now the 78-year-old has been ordered to pay $148 million in fines and damages in a sensational defamation case – and he’s not just financially ruined. His law license has been revoked, he can no longer pay his own lawyers and his $6 million New York apartment is for sale.

Serious lies
Background: Giuliani had accused two election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss of manipulating the 2020 presidential election in Georgia in favor of election winner Biden. As a result, the two women were exposed to enormous threats of violence and feared for their lives. And sued Giuliani.
