Two collisions kept the emergency services at Nassfeld busy on Tuesday. In both cases, those involved in the accident ran away!
The first collision occurred around 11:15 a.m. when a 40-year-old woman from Villach collided with another skier during her descent. While the woman with shoulder injuries remained at an altitude of about 1,620 meters, the other skier continued without assistance. “She was first treated by the mountain rescue team and flown to the LKH Villach with the emergency helicopter,” says a police officer. The search for the unknown has begun.
Second collision on the slopes
Just an hour later, another crash occurred on the Nassfeld slope. There, a 34-year-old Czech woman collided with a snowboarder almost 100 meters below the mountain station. He also just walked away. Only the mountain rescue team treated the woman, who suffered an undetermined injury to her upper body. The Czech woman was taken to the valley station by skidoo and from there rescued to the Villach LKH. The snowboarder is also being sought.
