The ‘Krone’ told the tragic story in May 2022 – with the clear words of the two parents as the headline: ‘Our Lukas is dead because the doctors made mistakes.’ The boy was born in mid-December 2021 in the hospital in Vöcklabruck (Upper Austria) and ended as a nightmare: brain damage in the child, severe bleeding in the woman. The mother survived, Lukas died eight days later. Eighteen months later, the Welsh public prosecutor filed charges. The tragic death will be heard in the Welsh regional court on Tuesday: a hospital doctor must answer charges of murder by gross negligence and bodily harm by gross negligence.
