If the Christ Child flies by without putting anything under the tree, that’s annoying. But when his helper loots the packages, it’s just gross. Now such a pack plunderer has been arrested, who had been taking a lot of loot in the Mühlviertel for months.
The 26-year-old Romanian worked as a delivery person between August and December 2023, mainly in the Urfahr region.
There were repeated problems with the delivered goods, which caused suspicion to fall on the delivery person: he allegedly stole high-quality products. He allegedly removed the packaging and exchanged it for cheaper goods or even delivered the packages empty.
Sharing the loot found
The recipients confirmed receipt of the goods with a password and only then noticed the missing or incorrect shipments. There are currently 85 packages known to have been looted. Damage: almost 10,000 euros in loot. During the police search, several expensive goods were found and seized. When interrogated, the Mühlviertler confessed: accusations followed.
