In the English county of Lancashire, police caught a man driving without a license in the 1960s and whose only qualification was a failed driving test.
As the BBC reported on Wednesday, the man had shown a temporary driver’s license, but that had expired decades ago. In Great Britain, learner drivers are allowed to drive for a limited time accompanied by a qualified passenger and with a learner badge on their car.
Car was seized
“The driver of this vehicle was driving with an expired provisional driver’s license. (…) He was reported and his vehicle was seized!” Lancashire Road Police wrote further
The man was reported for breaking road rules, the BBC continued. According to the report, the incident occurred on Tuesday on the M55 motorway near the northern English city of Preston.
About a year ago, a man who said he had been driving without a license for 70 years was caught behind the wheel near Nottingham.
