Horrible industrial accident on Wednesday evening in East Tyrol: a 58-year-old local man fell into an assembly pit in a factory hall in Debant and lay motionless. The seriously injured man had to be resuscitated and flown to the clinic in Klagenfurt after initial care.
According to police, the devastating accident happened outside work hours around 7:15 p.m. According to the current state of the investigation, the 58-year-old worker was still in the unlit factory hall when he suddenly fell into the assembly pit.
Serious head injury
„The man suffered serious head injuries. Another employee, who was also in the factory hall, found the injured man lying in the assembly pit and immediately initiated the rescue chain,” the researchers say.
By helicopter to the clinic
The seriously injured man had to be resuscitated by emergency services. After emergency medical treatment, the employee was flown by rescue helicopter to the clinic in Klagenfurt.
