Drama in Florida – The Christmas gift conflict ends fatally for women

Date:

A dispute over Christmas presents ended fatally on Christmas Eve in the American state of Florida. A 14-year-old shot his 23-year-old sister. The reason for the drama was the question of who got more for Christmas this year.

It’s December 24 in the small town of Largo, Florida. The lights of the Christmas decorations illuminate the streets and there is a festive atmosphere in the air. The Coley family prepares for the celebrations. But what should have been a cheerful gathering takes an unexpected turn.

Damarcus (14) is angry because his older brother Darcus (15) has more parcels under the Christmas tree. The teen can’t handle this injustice, so he takes out his gun and points it at his brother.

“I’ll shoot you in the head,” the 14-year-old threatens. Sister Abrielle intervenes: ‘Let the matter rest! Why are you starting this? It’s Christmas!’ Damarcus pulls the trigger, hitting the mother of two in the chest and lungs as she holds her newborn baby. She is pronounced dead at the hospital.

The police arrest the brothers
After the fatal shot, Darcus fires his gun at his brother, seriously wounding him. “The baby was not injured because he was in a carrier,” Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said later at a news conference. The brothers now have to answer for murder and attempted murder.

The brothers routinely carried weapons, according to the sheriff’s office. Gualttieri complained that the laws were not strict enough and that children were not allowed to carry weapons.
