A terrible accident took place in the Vorarlberg town of Hohenems on Saturday morning. A 13-year-old girl started her father’s car without permission and pushed her friend against a wall. The 15-year-old was trapped and seriously injured.
On Saturday morning around 6:15 am, a 13-year-old girl took the key to her father’s car in an apartment in Hohenems. She then went to the parking lot in front of the house with her 15-year-old friend, who lives in the same apartment building, and started her father’s car.
Trapped between the car and the wall of the house
The 13-year-old first drove back from the parking lot and then drove forward again. At that moment her boyfriend was standing in front of the car. The driver then crashed into the 15-year-old for reasons that are still unclear, but probably because she underestimated the power of the vehicle. It was then pushed against a house wall and briefly confined.
Father calls the emergency services
The 13-year-old girl then immediately alerted her father, who alerted emergency services. The older girl was treated at the scene by an emergency doctor and then taken to hospital in Dornbirn with serious injuries.
