On Sunday evening, the Viennese police arrested a 15-year-old alcoholic. The boy, who was reported missing in Germany, was also drunk. He had stolen the car he was driving illegally in Lower Austria.
Because a motorist without lights and with abrupt steering maneuvers and jerky braking attracted the attention of police officers from the Laurenzerberg police station on Monday evening, the vehicle was stopped.
Drunk in the stolen car
During the subsequent check, the officers discovered that the driver was only 15 years old and therefore did not have a driver’s license. But not only was he driving the car illegally, the vehicle was also reported stolen. The Romanian native had stolen it from a friend’s parents. If that wasn’t enough, the 15 year old was also drunk. And last but not least, the man is reported missing in Germany and a search is underway for him. It is unlikely that many more violations of the law will occur during a single inspection.
Runaways handed over to relatives
The young person was reported in general and, after consultation with his legal guardians in Germany, placed in the care of a relative living in Vienna.
