Several mice and at least two cats apparently fell victim to an animal executioner in Kirchdorf in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel. One of the owners, who is also an animal protection employee, contacted the “Krone”. She and her brother filed a police report.
A case of animal abuse concerns the residents of Kirchberg. As Martina Zwerger-Hasenauer, animal protection officer, describes to the “Krone”: “My brother found his cat bleeding in the parking lot on Thursday.”
The vet found that the animal had been poisoned. On Saturday, Zwerger-Hasenauer’s cat also fell victim to the perpetrator. “She vomited red granules and also had to go to the vet. I hope she gets better soon.”
Several mice were also found dead
The animal rights activist also says that several dead mice have been found in the area. “They probably died from the grains.”
Zwerger-Hasenauer and her brother already have a concrete suspicion of who spread the poison. “We have filed a report with the police. She is now investigating.” Finally, the animal rights activist hopes that no other animals have fallen victim to the perpetrator.
