Here we tell you what you should pay attention to to get spectacular photos.
Preparation
If you only start looking for the optimal location and the right settings at midnight, you will most likely miss the best moments. Since it gets dark early at this time of year and rockets are usually fired long before midnight, take the opportunity to find a suitable location (good visibility, protected from the elements) and take some test shots before making the midnight spectacle. Make sure the battery of your camera or smartphone is charged and that you have enough free storage space. If you are outside for a longer period of time in low temperatures, we recommend a replacement battery or power bank. Also very practical when photographing in the dark: a flashlight or better yet a headlamp.
