A picturesque place, the Vienna Forest Biosphere Park, usually appreciated by nature lovers and hikers, has become a dumping ground for environmental offenders: hundreds of tires lie in the middle of the forest.
Between the towns of Gaaden and Heiligenkreuz, not far from the Heiligenkreuz exit on the A21, unknown perpetrators apparently showed no respect for the environment. Instead of admiring the beauty of nature, they chose to dump their waste in the middle of the forest.
“It is scandalous how some people destroy nature without any qualms. Of course, the taxpayer will pay the costs for further removal,” said an angry “Krone” reader reporter.
The local police have already started an investigation, according to the police tape.
