The bodies of three older siblings were found partially burned in their home near Madrid. The dead showed signs of violence and were placed on top of each other, the police said on request on Thursday.
A possible motive for the crime was some kind of settlement or revenge, because the trio had repeatedly borrowed large sums of money from acquaintances and neighbors, a police spokeswoman said.
The dead are two women and a man, all in the 1970s. The newspaper “El País” reported, citing neighbors in the small town of Morata de Tajuña, about 40 kilometers southeast of Madrid, that the two women committed an alleged crime had committed. For years, Afghanistan veterans have received monthly cash transfers.
Milieu warned women against love fraud
To do this, they even sold an apartment in Madrid and repeatedly asked neighbors and acquaintances to borrow amounts up to 3,000 euros. The two sisters ignored warnings from those around them that love fraud may have occurred. Police initially did not confirm this information.
