It was shortly after 1pm when the 33-year-old called 911: she had been attacked and stabbed. Crime scene: The Donaulände in the Margarethen district of Linz, near the brotherhood and the connecting tower.
Grabbed from behind
According to initial statements, the woman was walking from Linz when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown person. A hand covered in a leather glove cupped her mouth and held it shut. The attacker allegedly stabbed with his second hand. Two injuries to the groin and thigh later had to be treated at the Linz accident hospital.
Not in danger to life
The victim went home after the crime and called 911 and called the emergency doctor. The 33-year-old’s life is not in danger and should be questioned by police after receiving medical attention. Detectives are now hoping for information from witnesses as they search the crime scene with sniffer dogs.
