A driver collided with an ambulance on the Innsbruck federal road in Salzburg-Maxglan on Monday afternoon: the front of the car was completely dented and rested sideways on the road. There were three injured.
Shortly before 1 p.m. on Monday, the driver of a metallic blue car collided with a Red Cross ambulance on the B1 near the Öfag car dealer in Salzburg. The rescue team was on an emergency trip out of town with blue lights flashing.
The driver of the car apparently missed them as they turned around and rammed the ambulance into the side of the hood. Both vehicles were severely damaged.
Three people were slightly injured in the collision. Two were taken to the state hospital by the Red Cross, the third victim was taken to the accident hospital. The car’s airbag deployed immediately and the car was parked across the road. The road did not have to be closed.
