Two injured – “overlooked”: car collides with emergency vehicle

Date:

On Sunday afternoon, a collision occurred between a car and an emergency vehicle in Bad Radkersburg (Styria). Two passengers were injured. The driver later stated that she had overlooked the emergency vehicle.

Around 4 p.m., the ambulance, driven by a 22-year-old from Graz, drove on the B 69 from Bad Radkersburg towards Gosdorf. At the entrance to Lake Liebmannsee, a Slovenian woman (45) wanted to turn left.

Injured people were taken to the LKH Radkersburg
During the turn, a collision occurred with the ambulance. Both the 45-year-old and the 22-year-old were injured in the collision. They were treated at the LKH Bad Radkersburg. “I overlooked the emergency vehicle,” the driver later told police.

Altneudörfl fire brigade in action
Significant material damage was caused to both vehicles. Ten members of the Altneudörfl volunteer fire brigade (operations manager: HBI Manfred Drexler) were on site to set up fire protection, set up the diversion and remove the car from the road or park it safely.
