Only at the beginning of February, a 46-year-old German man was taken into police custody for stalking a 34-year-old Ukrainian woman who had been living in Klagenfurt for several months. Now the situation escalated…
Because he terrorized her through various courier services, repeatedly visited her in Carinthia and even arranged appointments for the 34-year-old that she knew nothing about, the Ukrainian eventually turned to the police.
After the Hamburg man stalked the woman for more than seven months, officials issued a ban on entering and approaching her, as well as a temporary weapons ban.
But that apparently could not stop the German: despite the ban on approaching her, he visited the scared Ukrainian several times in recent days. “The man had to be sent away by the police several times,” the emergency services say.
German threatened to kill dog
On Tuesday, the situation finally escalated: “He approached the woman again and threatened to kill her dog if she did not allow him access to her apartment!” Because the woman wanted to call the police for help again, the German panicked. He took the phone from her and strangled her before running away.
“He was found and arrested during a manhunt at a construction site near the woman’s apartment,” a police officer said of the moment the alleged stalker was handcuffed. The man was taken to Klagenfurt prison.
