Tuvisa staff will start an indefinite strike on Vitoria-Gasteiz city buses this Saturday, February 10, after failing to reach an agreement with the management of the municipal company to improve the working conditions of workers and the quality of the service. employ.

The indefinite strike will start on Saturday at 2 p.m., as announced by the ELA trade union in a statement last Thursday.

The decision to strike comes after the meeting last Thursday with those responsible for Tuvisa. There was no rapprochement between the parties.

The committee, consisting of three delegates from ELA and UGT, two from USO, ESK and CCOO, and one from LAB, calls for “avoiding the loss of buses online, reverse privatizations in Tuvisa, the negotiations on a new employment contractthat there will be an effective registration of working hours and that all agreements made with the social part will be published in the BOTHA.’ ‘We claim the health of Tuvisa employees and improvement of servicesboth in terms of quality and safety,” they explained.

ELA has denounced that the offer from Tuvisa management is “identical” to the offer presented last week, except for some “minor changes”.

The union has criticized the council’s “immobility” during the seven meetings held to try to resolve the conflict and meet staff demands for improvements in labor and service delivery.
