The firefighters of Schruns in Montafon (Vorarlberg) prove that they have a heart for animals. A dog got into a badger hole and couldn’t free itself. The fire brigade had to intervene to save the four-legged friend.
You don’t experience something like this every day: On Thursday afternoon the fire brigade was alerted because a dog had gotten lost in a badger den. The four-legged sniffer had probably followed an irresistible trail and entered the badger’s den. Once he disappeared into the narrow hallways, the dog couldn’t get out.
The fire brigade took the shovels
The Floriani disciples entered the steep forest and began to free the frightened animal from its predicament. The crew took a shovel and removed a piece of soil above the badger den.
A pipe camera was also used in the campaign. Eventually the digging continued until the four-legged friend could get out safely again. The dog must have learned his lesson.
