The thief duo had not expected that! When two Georgians were on their way to their forest depot in Kaprun, they were stopped by the police. At the scene, officers found 187 bottles of liquor. The police were able to solve 20 thefts.
At the beginning of April, the police in Pinzgau stopped a suspicious car with a Polish registration. It turned out that a 30-year-old and a 28-year-old Georgian were on their way to a depot in a forest in Kaprun. At the site, officials discovered 187 bottles, some of which were of high quality.
In the course of the investigation, the police were able to link the suspect to multiple thefts in Tyrol, Vorarlberg and Salzburg. The two men were arrested for commercial theft and taken to the Salzburg prison.
This allowed officials to prove that the accused had committed 20 thefts in the three states. The offenses took place between early October 2021 and 8 April 2022. The suspects confessed to the facts and stated that they wanted to give the stolen goods to relatives. The damage is about 8400 euros. The men were transferred to the Innsbruck prison because of their jurisdiction.
