On Wednesday, several fire brigades had to respond to a fire in a garage in Telfs in Tyrol. There was a car on fire. Apparently the fire was caused by flying sparks during welding work. The car owner (73) tried to extinguish the fire.
The alarm was raised around 12 noon because a fire had broken out in the garage of an apartment complex. According to initial findings, a 73-year-old local resident said he was doing welding work on his vehicle. Sparks flew and the vehicle’s seat cushions caught fire.
The vehicle completely burned out
The fire quickly spread to the entire vehicle. The 73-year-old tried to put out the fire, but soon realized there was nothing more he could do. The fire brigades of Telfs, Pfaffenhofen and Rietz responded with 65 emergency services and ten vehicles. Also various rescue teams.
The mission demanded the Floriani disciples. First it had to be assumed that there was a gas cylinder in the garage. Fortunately that was not the case. However, the fire brigade was unable to prevent the vehicle from burning out. The damage is correspondingly great. However, no one was injured in the fire.
