A 13-year-old suffered serious arm and chest injuries in a private home in Wörgl. His uncle may have used a gun and the shooting was unintentional.
On Friday around 7:22 p.m., the police received a report of a gunshot wound in a residential house in the Wörgl urban area.
An ambulance, an emergency ambulance, an emergency helicopter and two police patrols were sent to the scene from the Tyrolean control center.

According to the current state of the investigation, the 13-year-old’s uncle handled a gun in the home and a shot may have been accidentally fired, hitting the child in the upper arm and chest.
The injured 13-year-old responded quickly and was flown by emergency helicopter to Innsbruck University Hospital after receiving first aid. More on-site investigations are underway.
