Instead of balls, fists follow: During an indoor football tournament in the sports hall of the Schärdinger district in Upper Austria, there was a massive brawl involving about twenty people on Saturday afternoon. Two of the bullies even had to be treated in hospital.
Instead of settling their differences on the field, two football teams let their fists do the talking on Saturday around 2:50 p.m. in Schärding. The six Romanians and six Turks allegedly insulted each other first, followed by fists.
Visitors also participated
But it wasn’t just the athletes involved in the brawl; according to the police, visitors to the tournament also became involved. In the end, about twenty people fought, two were injured and had to be treated as outpatients in hospital. The tournament would have been the indoor tournament of the IKV (Islamic Cultural Association).
