A 45-year-old and his 38-year-old companion were pushed off an escalator by three young people at Munich’s main station on Sunday. The man on the ground was then kicked. The perpetrators are at large.
Before the attack, in which the two victims were slightly injured, there was an argument on a train between the adults and the young trio. The teenagers allegedly insulted and spat at the man and woman.
The exact background has yet to be determined, a police spokeswoman said on Monday. A 16-year-old was temporarily arrested following the incident. According to the police, he is being investigated for, among other things, dangerous bodily harm. He was later released. The investigation into the other two suspects is still ongoing.
