What a shock: One of her two cats suffered multiple injuries when a 30-year-old woman from Linz returned home from work on Wednesday afternoon. According to police information, only one other person was present in her apartment during her absence: her 25-year-old boyfriend.
Confronted him
So she confronted him. The German stated that the cat had hit the door frame and that he had not kicked it himself. A few hours later – the two had argued – the 25-year-old left the apartment.

Then the woman from Linz grabbed her cat and drove to the vet. However, he could do nothing more for the poor house cat: the animal died from its internal injuries. The vet was able to rule out an accident based on the injury pattern and it was assumed that the cat had been abused.
The 25-year-old is charged on suspicion of animal cruelty – and for possession of drugs that investigators found in the apartment.
