Crash in the railway underpass on Gudrunstrasse in Vienna-Favoriten: three cars collided there on Friday afternoon. The accident victims had to be cared for by the rescue team.
When the alerted troops of the Vienna Fire Department arrived, there were two vehicles on the two lanes heading towards Simmering. According to the Vienna Fire Department, a third car was pushed against the wall of the underpass on the sidewalk.
“The drivers were able to leave the vehicles independently; one person was still in the passenger seat of one of the cars with injuries of an unknown nature, but was not trapped,” the fire department said. People from the fire brigade cared for the injured person until the emergency services arrived.
The site is closed to car traffic
The cause of the accident has not yet been clarified and is being investigated. The accident site was closed during the operation.
