US President Joe Biden believes that his rival Donald Trump would not accept defeat in the presidential election. “I think he will do whatever it takes to win,” Biden said. “If I win, I think he will dispute the result.”
As early as 2020, Donald Trump, who was voted out of office at the time, disputed the election results and claimed that he had been denied another term in office due to election fraud. “I’m the only one who ever beat him,” said US President Joe Biden. He sees himself as the best possible candidate for Democrats to oppose Trump. However, the 81-year-old is quite unpopular among voters, partly because of his old age. Several opinion polls currently show his challenger in the lead (see video above).
Defend democracy as an election promise
Meanwhile, Biden continues to rely on his central campaign promise: defending democracy. “How can we in a democracy elect someone as president who says violence is acceptable?” he said in an interview with The New Yorker.
Tuesday, March 5 is Super Tuesday, with primaries being held in 15 American states. The results are considered a decisive political vote on the path to nomination as a candidate. Trump’s last remaining challenger within the party, Nikki Haley, is unlikely to have much of a chance. The presidential election itself is scheduled for November 5.
