Another cruel case of animal abuse: a dog in Bregenz ate food he found in the garden, but it was a nasty trap.
As police report, a drastic incident took place last Monday in the state capital of Vorarlberg: unknown people wrapped several razor blades in food and then threw them into a vegetable garden. When the dog, who lives in a family home, ran into the garden, he found the bait – and ate it.
Witnesses are being sought
The four-legged friend only survived the cowardly attack through emergency surgery. The dog had serious injuries to its digestive tract. The police are now investigating unknown perpetrators on suspicion of animal abuse. Witnesses who can provide information about the crime are asked to contact the Bregenz police.
