Serious traffic accident Sunday evening in Ilztal, Eastern Styria: A 25-year-old motorist with three passengers on board collided with an oncoming car. A total of six people were injured, the drunk driver was trapped in the wreck.
On Sunday around 9 p.m., a 25-year-old from Eastern Styria drove his car on the B 54 Wechsel Straße towards Gleisdorf. He had two women and a man on board, all 21 years old.
Be aware of oncoming traffic
According to the police, when the driver turned around at an intersection and drove back onto the B 54, he may have overlooked an oncoming vehicle and a collision occurred. The driver of the oncoming vehicle (22) and his 24-year-old passenger, as well as the person who caused the accident and his passengers, were injured.
The 25-year-old driver of the accident was even trapped in the wreckage and had to be rescued by the fire brigade with serious injuries. Police said he was drunk.
