Austrian Airlines (AUA) canceled dozens of flights on Thursday due to staff meetings: There were 28 short- and medium-haul flights on Wednesday evening, but AUA’s website now lists 60 flights affected by delays or cancellations.
The approximately 1,000 affected passengers would be approached personally as far as possible, a press spokeswoman said on Wednesday evening about the postponement and cancellation of the flights.
The reason for the failures is that the works councils of both the flight and ground personnel will hold work meetings from 9 a.m. on Thursday, the spokeswoman continues. Wednesday evening there were already delays and cancellations in the flight program.
