A serious accident took place on Loferer Straße in Wörgl on Saturday morning! A local resident (26) drove his car into the oncoming traffic and collided with an oncoming vehicle, injuring two people.
At around 7.40 am, the 26-year-old resident was driving his car on Loferer Straße in Wörgl. For unknown reasons, he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided sideways with the oncoming car, driven by a 29-year-old local woman.
Two of the woman’s passengers were slightly injured in the accident and were taken by ambulance to the hospital in Kufstein. “An alcohol test on the 26-year-old was positive,” police said. His driver’s license was confiscated on the spot. Both cars were totaled.
As a result of the accident, Loferer Straße was closed to all traffic until approximately 9 a.m. Two police patrols, the rescue service and the Bruckhäusl fire brigade were present.
