A local motorist (22) and his passenger (23) had a breakdown in Kufstein, Tyrol on Saturday morning. Due to his high spirits, the 22-year-old lost control and drove off the road. The car ended up on a slope. The men were only slightly injured.
The accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. The 22-year-old was driving his car on the L37 from Thiersee towards Kufstein. A 23-year-old German was on board as a passenger. “According to their own information, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excitement,” the police said. This caused him to leave the road in a left bend.
Car got stuck
The vehicle got stuck on a slope between trees there. The driver was able to free himself. In the meantime, the 23-year-old had to be freed and rescued by the Kufstein volunteer fire brigade. Both men were only slightly injured. They were taken to Kufstein Hospital. An alcohol test on the driver was positive and showed that he was heavily intoxicated.
