Both the 62-year-old and his 23-year-old passenger were thrown from the amphibious vehicle. Only after approximately 150 meters did the vehicle come to a stop. The driver and passenger slid to the valley station area at an altitude of approximately 1,275 meters. Both suffered serious injuries in the accident. The 62-year-old was flown to the clinic in Innsbruck and the 23-year-old was taken by ambulance to St. Johann Hospital.
