A woman has been missing in Salzburg’s Glemmtal since the early hours of Easter Monday. The affected person did not return home after a walk. Water rescuers found the woman dead in the afternoon, but the reasons for her death are still unclear.

Salzburg water rescuers reported that the alarm was raised at 1:41 am. Family members called emergency services in Saalbach-Hinterglemm after a woman did not return after taking her dog for a walk. The four-legged friend came home alone.

In addition to the water rescuers, emergency services from the Red Cross and the police also took part in the search. The water rescuers searched with rafting boats in the five-degree cold water. In the afternoon the woman in question was finally found dead, the police confirmed this when asked by “Krone”: “An autopsy was ordered.” It must be investigated whether a heart attack or other physical complaints were the cause of the woman’s death. According to the police, nothing can be ruled out at this time. The woman is a 50-year-old from Lower Austria who also lives in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
