A nightmare for every parent became a terrible reality for a mother from the Neusiedl am See district. When the woman entered her son’s room, she jumped in fright. The 17-year-old boy was not in his bed, but on the floor next to it. No breathing, no movement – there was no sign of life. The body was completely still. The son was already dead when the mother went to visit him.
Cause still unclear
A world collapsed before her. The woman is in shock. As part of the investigation, an autopsy was ordered on the body to determine the cause of death. “By default, investigations are conducted in all directions,” authorities said. The results are eagerly awaited.
It wasn’t until mid-March that a gruesome discovery caused a stir. As reported, two people were found dead in a house in the 550-resident community of Stöttera in the Mattersburg district. It was mother and son. The autopsy revealed that both died of natural causes. According to the Eisenstadt Public Prosecutor’s Office, foul play could be ruled out.
