After a Corona demonstration in Innsbruck in February 2021, a Carinthian police officer charged hundreds of people with sharing or commenting on false claims about him on Facebook. The perpetrators were given heavy fines, and for the first time, a woman from the Innviertel does not have to pay. Your lawyer explains why.

“Let the face of that police officer go around the world. This police officer escalated the situation during a demonstration in Innsbruck. An 82-year-old innocent man was pulled to the ground, arrested and interrogated for hours,” a Facebook user claimed to a then 32-year-old police officer after a Corona demonstration in Innsbruck in February 2021 – and also posted a photo of him.
