Persecution in Tyrol – shoplifter jumped from the roof and crossed the Ache. about

Date:

A suspected shoplifter in the Tyrolean lowlands was in a wild chase with the police on Friday morning: When alarmed officials received the 24-year-old Czech in front of a shop in Hopfgarten (Kitzbühel district), he suddenly fled. Among other things, he jumped off a roof and crossed the Brixentaler Ache. However, the suspect was eventually caught.

As early as Tuesday, various cosmetic items such as perfumes worth more than 1,000 euros were stolen by initially unknown perpetrators. In the course of the investigation, the police were finally able to identify a suspect from a photo – appropriate search measures were then initiated. However, these were initially unsuccessful.

Suspect reappeared
On Friday morning, an employee reported that one of the suspects had just returned to the store and had left without making any purchases. The clerk chased the man and informed oncoming officers that the suspect had gone to a supermarket.

Fled when official
There the police waited for the man and finally received him in front of the entrance. It turned out to be a 24-year-old Czech. During the official act, the alleged perpetrator suddenly ran away and fled in the direction of the city center.

The officials and other arriving patrols, including the police dog, immediately give chase. But the Czech did not want to be caught that easily. “During the escape, he jumped from a three-meter high roof and crossed the Brixentaler Ache,” the researchers say.

24 year old confesses
After about 20 minutes, the fugitive was finally caught and provisionally arrested. During the first interrogation, the man confessed. Stolen goods were secured. After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect will be reported.
