The rumor mill is bubbling: – Did Princess Salma shoot down Iran’s drones?

Date:

When the Iranian mullahs’ regime fired 300 drones and missiles into Israel this weekend, drones were intercepted by the Jordanian Royal Air Force. According to rumors, Princess Salma of Jordan, the king’s daughter, was also on duty.

Rumors are circulating on Twitter that the 23-year-old daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, a trained fighter pilot, has flown missions and shot down five to six drones. An official statement is still pending, but it is considered unlikely that it was used against the Iranian drones itself.

But it wouldn’t be entirely impossible: in December 2023, it was announced that one of its first missions was to transport relief supplies for a hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Sandhurst graduate
The princess successfully completed her studies at the renowned Sandhurst Military Academy in England in 2018 and achieved the coveted rank of second lieutenant.

Her education at this traditional institution, also known as the ‘Prince Mill’ to royal descendants, laid the foundation for her military career.

Two years later, in 2020, she crowned her efforts by becoming the first female fighter pilot in the ranks of the Jordanian military at just 19 years old.

British heir apparent Crown Prince William (41) and Prince Harry (39) are also among the graduates of this prestigious institute. William and his wife Princess Kate are also considered close friends of the Jordanian royal family and have already spent secret holidays in Jordan.

After her military training, Princess Salma left for California, where she successfully completed her bachelor’s degree at the renowned USC University in September 2023.

Crown Prince becomes father
The Jordanian royal couple have a total of four children: Crown Prince Hussein (29), Princess Iman (27), Princess Salma and Prince Hashem bin Abdullah (19).

Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan, who married Rajwa al-Saif in May 2023, will become a father for the first time this year. The Royal Hashemite Court announced the good news that Princess Rajva was pregnant in early April.
