In Vienna-Döbling, a 57-year-old is said to have pushed a woman off a balcony. The victim (51) was seriously injured. The suspect then allegedly tried to shoot himself. He may have survived the suicide attempt.
An argument broke out in an apartment between the 51-year-old and the 57-year-old for reasons unknown. The man allegedly pushed the woman off the balcony on the second floor. He then came out of the apartment building and allegedly tried to shoot the woman with a pistol, police said.
Suspect shot himself in the head
This was apparently only prevented by the courageous intervention of witnesses. The 57-year-old allegedly shot himself in the head. He is said to have survived the shot to the head for the time being and was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The woman received first aid from an ambulance and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. It is not yet clear why and how exactly this happened. The National Criminal Investigation Department is investigating at full speed.
