A 22-year-old drove his car off the road on the B21 near Mariazell in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district on Saturday afternoon and fell 30 meters down a slope. Miraculously, he and his 21-year-old passenger suffered only minor injuries.
The 22-year-old from the Bruck an der Leitha district (Lower Austria) was traveling with his passenger, also from the Bruck an der Leitha district, on the B 21 at around 3 p.m. At kilometer 99.5, the man came off the road in the left bend, possibly due to excessive speed.
“The car then fell about 30 meters down a slope and rolled over several times. The car then crashed into a house wall and landed on the roof of the vehicle,” the Styrian State Police said Saturday evening.
The prisoners were extremely lucky
The prisoners were able to free themselves. Miraculously, neither person was seriously injured. The Red Cross brought the persons involved to the LKH Lilienfeld for further examination.
The B 21 was closed to all traffic for an hour at the accident site. The volunteer fire brigade of Mariazell was on duty. The damage to the car and the building is unknown.
