Fatal accident on Friday evening in a hotel in Kirchberg in Tyrol (Kitzbühel district): A seven-year-old boy fell from a climbing tower in the playroom on holiday and injured himself so seriously that he had to be flown to hospital by emergency helicopter.
The serious incident happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. “According to previous investigations, the seven-year-old was in the hotel playroom with other children. “He was playing near a climbing tower that was approximately two meters high and then fell to the ground for an unknown reason,” police said.

An adult immediately provided first aid. The rescue chain was set in motion. After initial treatment on site, the holiday boy was flown by emergency helicopter to the St. Johann district hospital.
